Biography
Christie Clare, MSN, RN, CHPN is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Indiana University Southeast School of Nursing. She has been a registered nurse for ten years, specializing in hospice and palliative care. She holds an HPCC certification as a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN). She has been teaching undergraduate nursing students for the last three years, focusing on clinical and communication nursing skills, health assessment, hospice and palliative care, medical-surgical, and school nursing. Her passion for teaching stems from her master's research project where she utilized a simulation play to teach undergraduate students knowledge regarding hospice and palliative care nursing. She hopes to continue to inspire students to learn nursing content through the utilization of innovative teaching techniques. Her volunteer activities include CPR and BLS classes, and giving vaccines to people in the community.
