How Do I Reset a 3rd Party Password?

As a Student

  1. Log in to One.IU
  2. Click Start
  3. On 3rd Party Assignment screen, next to User ID of account you wish to update, click Edit.
  4. On next screen, you can do the following: change username, password, or first and/or last name, and use checkboxes to grant or remove access to your information. (If you are adding access to Bursar Balances and Bills, check that box and enter user's email address.) Note: Username is case sensitive. Password must be at least eight characters, contain one number, and is case sensitive.
  5. When finished editing the account, click Save User. If you change the username or password, you must let the user know. Note: After logging in with the password that you provide, your 3rd Party User will be prompted to change password.

As a 3rd Party User

  1. Go to One.IU
  2. Enter your student's university ID number and your username and password.
  3. Click Submit.
  4. Click Change 3rd Party Password/E-mail
  5. When you have made the necessary changes, click Submit

How do I set up a 3rd Party User? (Student Only)

  1. Log in to One.IU
  2. Read FERPA disclosure agreement (only presented first time you access page).
  3. Click I accept.
  4. Provide a username, password, and first and last names for your user. Note: password must be at least eight characters, contain one number, and is case sensitive.
  5. Click Bursar Balances and Bills box.
  6. Enter 3rd Party User’s email address; confirm address by entering again.
  7. Click Save User.

This new payer will now show up on the "3rd Party Users" screen. You must provide the password to the user so s/he can use the unique login to access your account. An e-mail message will be sent to the 3rd Party User containing the username you created.

How Do I Set Up a Payment Profile?

As a student

  1. Log in to One.IU
  2. Account Summary page shows payment options. (NOTE: To view bills, click on Statements.)
  3. Click on any Pay button to be routed to Higher One’s electronic payment system, where you can set up a payment profile. (You will not be required to make a payment.)
  4. Click My Account at the top of the page.
  5. Under Saved Accounts, click Add New.
  6. On the next page, click Continue.
  7. At the top of the next page, name your payment profile. NOTE: A name is required but it’s only for your information.
  8. Enter and confirm your bank account number, choose account type (checking or savings), enter your bank’s routing number, and the account holder’s name. NOTE: Click on What are my Routing Transit and Account Numbers? if you have questions about where to obtain this information.
  9. Once you have verified that your bank information is correct, click Continue.

This payment profile will now show up under My Account / Saved Accounts. The next time you make a payment, you can choose the stored profile instead of entering your bank account information again.

Be sure to edit the profile if any of the information changes. To edit a payment profile, clickEdit next to the profile you want to update, make the applicable changes, and click OK.

To delete a payment profile, click Delete next to the profile you want to delete. If you are sure you want to delete the profile, click OK.

As a 3rd Party User

  1. Log in to One.IU
  2. Enter your student's university ID number and your username and password.
  3. Click Submit.

How do I view my current or past statements?

Statements may be viewed by the student and any 3rd Party Users set up by the student through One.IU.
