Title: Veterans, Why We Should Hire Them and How to Find Them
Presenter: Trace Chesser, Career Transition program manager for USA Cares
Trace Chesser has dedicated his career since his departure from the US Army to working with transitioning active military, veterans and their spouses.
Trace began his career with the United States Army where he served in a variety of positions including Station Commander, Field First-Sergeant, Trainer and Recruiter. He was also an instructor for the United States Army Air Assault School, Observer and Controller for the Joint Readiness Training Center, and in leadership positions within several combat operations units. Trace served in the Gulf War with the 101st Airborne Division and has graduated from several military leadership courses and specialized combat operations schools.
After his distinguished military career, Trace led a variety of HR groups including Vice President of Career Services for Sullivan University and managing partner of SCOUT Solutions Group, an executive search firm. Currently Trace manages the Career Transition program for USA Cares. USA Cares exists to help bear the burdens of service by providing Post 9/11 military families with financial, employment and advocacy support in their time of need and is headquarter in Louisville, KY.
Trace has received his Masters in Business Administration from Sullivan University and his Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
