Childplace, Inc. has immediate openings for second-shift and third-shift staff in our residential treatment facilities serving at-risk children and adolescents. These openings are for our NORTH Campus in Sellersburg, where our residents have developmental or intellectual disabilities. We offer a great opportunity for students with our flexible scheduling and the ability to gain experience. We also offer a great opportunity for persons looking to get into the field of social services, education, or health care to work with children facing emotional, behavioral, and development challenges.

Role : A Residential Youth Worker (RYW) is responsible for the social, emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of residents who are enrolled in on-campus treatment programs. RYWs provide active supervision and intervention as needed as they model positive relationship skills by joining clients in the completion of daily living tasks as well as other recreational and therapeutic activities.

Weekly Schedule : part-time and full-time opportunities are available following a 90-day evaluation. Both second and third shift positions available with some weekends required. Flexible scheduling to accommodate school pursuits or other family and life commitments is offered.

Benefits and Compensation : starting rate of $11/hour—additional benefits include: flexible scheduling and a supportive work environment. Applicants must be at least 21, certifiable in CPR and First Aid, and possess the following: good communication skills, an aptitude for leadership and teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Applicants are required to submit to multiple background checks. Following an offer of employment, expectations include: basic physical with a TB skin test and drug screen and a motor vehicle report.
