Why Study the Computer Education License Program?

The Computer License provides opportunity for candidates to become instructional leaders in the field of educational technology.

The Computer Education License Program at IU Southeast offers interested candidates an opportunity to become an instructional leader in the field of educational technology. The program coursework is offered on a rotating basis over the progression of four semesters. A required 15 credit hours must be completed to be eligible for the license.

  • Candidates must successfully completed R531 prior to applying for the licensure program.
  • Candidates are responsible for adjusting their personal schedules to complete requirements.
  • Use of the Internet to complete some course work and maintain communication between candidates and program faculty is expected.

For candidates admitted after 7/15/2011, a two-year gap in coursework will require a new application for re-admission into any graduate program, and a mandatory meeting with a program advisor. The re-admitted candidate must then comply with any new program requirements, if any.

The Computer Education License Program features a rolling application process.

  1. Attend a mandatory program advising session. Dates may be found here…link to calendar?
  2. Complete online application. A $40 application fee is assessed when applying to program. If a previous application fee was paid the fee should be waived. To determine if fee is to be waived, please contact our Record Specialist.
