Poverty Simulation

You are invited to participate in a poverty simulation. In this simulation, you will spend an hour walking in the shoes of someone who is living near the poverty line. There is no fee to participate but you must reserve your spot. The event is sponsored by the Applied Research and Education Center of IU Southeast, the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana, and the Horseshoe Foundation. Join us as we view and discuss a special screening of The True Cost, a 2015 documentary about the often-unseen aspects of the fashion industry. Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome. Ms. Kim Pelle, the director of the Adult Student Center, will lead the discussion. The event is sponsored by the Adult Student Center, the Honors Program, and the IUS Common Experience.
