Wildlife inspector alum facilitate donations to IU

For Denise Larison B.S. ‘05, finding potentially poisonous
snakes hidden in boxes and dodging a scorpion as it scuttles
toward her is just a part of the job.
“The scorpion was hiding in a shipment from Costa Rica,”
explained Larison, who is a Wildlife Inspector for the U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service Office of Law Enforcement, Port of

Larison’s unique profession has recently led her to reconnect
with Indiana University Southeast in a very unusual way.
