You have to go all the way back to May 6, 1971. This photo was taken during the development of the IU Southeast campus on
Grant Line Road. Prior to 1973, students took classes at a location in Jeffersonville. Paul Smith, an IU Southeast maintenance
engineer, who was part of the team that helped relocate the campus, captured this historic image. IU Southeast student
Adam Bruner, submitted the photo after it was discovered in his grandfather, Bob Adams’, collection.
