Freshman applicants must

school GPA and Core 40

courses for non–Indiana
residents and those
graduating prior to 2011

At least 2.5 high school
GPA and 950 on the SAT
or 20 on the ACT and
Core 40 diploma
or 28
college preparatory high
school courses for non–

Transfer
Transfer students must
submit official transcripts
from all previously
attended colleges and
must have a cumulative
grade point average of 2.0
or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Applicants who have
earned less than 26
hours of college credit
are expected to meet
the traditional admission
standards.
Adults
Students who have been
out of high school for
more than two years and
do not meet the minimum
requirements listed for
traditional students may
speak individually with
an admissions counselor
to demonstrate intention
through maturity and
experience.
IU Southeast welcomes
students who have
completed the GED. A
minimum score of 50 or
500 –
depending upon
the year you completed
the GED – is required for
admission.
Applicants must submit
GED test scores from a
state–authorized testing
authority.
Conditional
Conditional admission
may be offered to
students who are not
eligible for full admission.
Typical qualifications for
conditional admission
consist of a Core 40
diploma – or 28 college
preparatory high school
courses for non–Indiana
residents – and one of the
following criteria:
1.
At least a 2.3 GPA
2.
At least 900 on the
SAT or 19 on the ACT
