The Career Development Center provides
a comprehensive approach to career
development beginning with career
awareness and decision–making. Focus
is placed on academic major selection,
experiential education opportunities
including internships, part–time jobs, and
networking, and culminates in professional
employment.
IU Southeast graduates from the Class
of 2012 reported 75 percent had full–
time employment within six months of
graduation while another 15 percent
reported plans to attend graduate school.
Students in the 2012–13 school year
completed nearly 200 internships.
Graduates reported internships or full–
time employment most frequently with
organizations such as UPS, ZirMed, Accent
Marketing, Samtec, LG&E, and Humana.
Internships provide students with the
opportunity to demonstrate their ability
to apply classroom knowledge and to
strengthen their professional work habits.
The Career Development Center offers free
career counseling, résumé development,
interview coaching, and job search
consultations for IU Southeast students
and alumni.
