The Bachelor of General Studies is a four-year degree program that equips graduates with the varied skills they need to succeed in a changing world.

Graduates boast the most sought-after qualities and skills in today's marketplace. From general abilities such as verbal and written communication, critical thinking and a commitment to integrity to in-depth knowledge acquired in your area of specialization, the B.G.S. degree builds on life and career experience to make students sought-after as leaders, colleagues, problem-solvers.

The degree is designed for nontraditional or adult students, though many “traditional” students find the program desirable as well. It is meant to be flexible for students who are balancing college with jobs, families and other responsibilities.

In fact, we consider those responsibilities assets, not liabilities. They bring a wealth of expertise to the college, enriching others in the program and on campus. Maturity, perseverance and a willingness to take the initiative are qualities that lead to success in the program and in employment.
