Great beer starts with great science. Learn how science principles like measurements, using an electric HERMS system, and historical fermentation are utilized to make great craft beer. A tasting of the final product will take place on the last day of class.

About the instructor
Dr. Aaron Setterdahl
Aaron is a faculty member at IU Southeast since 2007. He teaches chemistry, biochemistry, and beer chemistry. Research interests include microorganism genome organization, hop chemistry, and bacterial classification.
