About the course
This class is an exciting and therapeutic approach to learning Kung-fu. We will focus on a Qigong series, and the Xingyiquan style of Kung-fu. These are traditional Kung-fu arts practiced for health and wellness that are efficient, highly beneficial, and therapeutic practices. These arts were developed with ancient acupressure methods to balance the practitioner and build coordination, focus, and power. The forms are based on the five elements used in acupressure and the strengths and attributes of twelve animals, and there are blended forms as well. This class is focused on practicing and learning forms for health and wellness instead of fighting. We will not be sparring, and your personal space and safety will be respected.
This class is for beginners and masters alike to build a Kung-fu practice from the roots. Build a practice that is both holistic for your well-being and one that will build a respectable and respectful martial artist. Different forms will be covered each six weeks to help students continue their practice, and so all students get to start something new together each time.
