Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center
Congratulations on your acceptance to IU Southeast! We want you to be successful in college, so all new students are required to attend the New Student Orientation program prior to beginning classes at IU Southeast. Orientation is the first step in your transition to IU Southeast.
You will partner with knowledgeable students, faculty, and staff who will guide you through your orientation. The program will help you discover and learn about the many resources that IU Southeast has to offer. You will also meet with an academic advisor, register for classes, and learn about everything you will need to know for your first semester.
Remember, orientation is all about answering your questions—so, along the way, never hesitate to ask!
*Please note that if you created an IU login to track your admission status, you will need to log in to One.IU and select Manage My IU Computing Accounts. Follow the steps listed on the screen. Click Create More Accounts or Manage Your Email and follow the steps on the screen.
You must create your username and passphrase 24-hours before you attend orientation.
You can also visit One.IU and select Create My First IU Computing Accounts. Follow the steps listed on the screen.
Most students are required to take one or more placement tests to ensure they can register for classes. Make sure that you have determined which tests you need and have completed them.
Indiana state law requires IU students to provide proof of their immunization status. While this requirement does not impact your ability to enroll in your first semester, you will not be allowed to register for subsequent semesters until you are compliant with the IU immunization requirements.
Your Crimson Card is your university student ID card. In order to receive your Crimson Card during orientation, submit an approved photo at least seven days prior to attending your orientation.
Parking is free for all orientation attendees.
Check-in opens at 8:45 a.m. and will take place in the Ogle Center Concourse.
New Student Orientation takes place from 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m.
You will receive a folder of resources/information and a name tag.
Coffee will be available.
We know that family and close friends are an important part of your college experience, so we welcome any family members and guests who will be assisting in your college career.
*Due to capacity restraints, each student attending orientation may have a maximum of two guests. There is a $20.00 fee for each guest that accompanies you.
