We are excited that you are taking college courses at IU Southeast while still attending high school. This is a great way to take advantage of the excellent educational opportunities offered to all of our students.

Read “Steps for All Students”

Before you take your next steps, be sure to become familiar with the information in the Steps for All Students section.

Access Network ID

You need to create your network identification user name and password to access computing services at IU Southeast. To set up your account, please go to the Account Management System. You will need your University Identification Number listed on your Letter of Admission. Your network identification will enable you to access information from OneStart, which will help you manage your academic life including personal information, academic services, registration and financial aid. If you need help setting up your network identification user name, please call (812) 941-2447. PLEASE NOTE: If you set up an IU guest account to check your admission status, you must set up a new IU computer account in order to register for classes and manage your student record.

Take Placement Tests

Newly admitted undergraduate students at Indiana University Southeast must complete placement tests in reading, writing, mathematics, and modern languages prior to enrolling in classes. If you are planning to take a math, English or foreign language class at IU Southeast, you must take the relevant placement test to determine your course level placement. If you already completed college (not high school) coursework in these areas, you do not need to take the placement test. Visit the Student Development Center for placement test dates and times.
