IU Southeast has been preparing Registered Nurses for over 50 years!
Our value system in the School of Nursing is based on four important tenets: Integrity, Connectedness, Nurturing and Holistic Learning. We believe this sets our program apart from others in the Louisville metro area. Our faculty provide a variety of learning opportunities from birth to end-of-life with a wide range of caring for diverse individuals, families and communities.
Admission to the school of nursing is a competitive process. Students are accepted based on a combination of your GPA (75% weight) and your reading comprehension score on an admission test you will take when you apply to the program (25% weight). As you complete your freshman general education courses be sure and stay in contact with your pre-nursing advisor, Alle Hall, (ach1@iu.edu) for information regarding the application process.
Preparing future nurses is an exhilarating challenge. We are excited about the prospects for our profession in the future and continue to strive for excellence in learning, discovery, and engagement. Our outstanding alumni are proof that an IU Southeast nursing degree not only prepares graduates well, but carries a sense of lifetime pride.
We look forward to having you join this very special group.
