Experience the Magic of the Ogle Center
Maximize the attention of your event and make it even more memorable by holding it at one of the spectacular spaces at the Ogle Center. These venues are available for performance related events, including concerts, lectures, meetings, recitals, plays, graduations and pageants.
The Ogle Center contains three indoor performance venues, including the 500-seat Richard K. Stem Concert Hall, the 96-seat Millicent and Norman Stiefler Recital Hall, and the 338-seat Robinson Theater as well as the Ronald L. Barr Art Gallery. The Ogle Center houses the offices, studios, dressing rooms and classrooms of the IU Southeast Music Department and Theatre Department. The newly-completed Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County Amphitheater provides a venue for outdoor events.
The Richard K. Stem Concert Hall is the largest of the Ogle Center's indoor theaters. It is used primarily for the Ogle Center's The Ogle Center Presents and Nashville Nights series, the Louisville Orchestra's Music Without Borders concerts, and performances by the IU Southeast Music Department bands, orchestra, and choirs. The Stem holds 500 seats including eight wheelchair locations. With only twelve rows in the orchestra and six in the balcony, each seat provides a clear, unobstructed view of the stage.
The Robinson Theater has a dramatic atmosphere that's unmatched. With its thrust stage, seven-story flyspace and hidden trap doors, this space lends itself well to the IU Southeast Theater Department productions and dance recitals. The Robinson Theater has 338 seats and three wheelchair locations in a conventional aisle seating configuration.
The Stiefler Recital Hall, holding 96 seats, creates an intimate performance and presentation space for the community. Like the Richard K. Stem Concert Hall, this hall has a large projection screen and has teleconferencing capability. The Stiefler Recital Hall is used for faculty and student recitals, community meetings and conferences.
For a cherished evening under the sun or stars, the Ogle Center offers an outdoor venue that seats the multitudes. The Ogle Center's Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County Amphitheater is located directly behind Knobview Hall, and can seat up to 6,000.
The Ogle Center Lobby is also available for food-related events including wedding receptions, banquets and parties. For more information on renting the Center's lobby and for pricing information on food services, please contact the Ogle Center.
