Undergraduate Orientation

First-Year (Freshman) Students

Fall 2019 new student orientation registration is now available!

Orientation takes place from 8:30 a.m. (check-in at 8 a.m.) to 5 p.m., with course registration beginning at 3 p.m. Some students may finish earlier.

Check-in will take place in the Ogle Center located in Knobview Hall. Parking is free for all orientation attendees. Please park in the University Center parking lot.

Content covered during orientation:

  • Financial Aid (loans, grants, scholarships)
  • Bursar (payment methods & dates)
  • Career Development Center
  • Information Technology
  • Academic Advising
  • Campus Resources
  • Campus Involvement

Please bring an official form of ID. You will need this to pick up your CrimsonCard at the end of orientation.

It is recommended you bring a jacket, as many of our rooms tend to be chilly. However, our Campus Bookstore will open at 9 a.m. if you would like to purchase some new IU Southeast gear.

Guests

Guests are welcome and there will be some separate programming for them. Guests will have programming until 3 p.m. consisting of information regarding Student Success, Financial Aid, Bursar, Career Development, and Campus Resources.

Payment

Orientation payment will be posted to the student’s account in August. Guests may pay via PayPal using the link below. One guest is $20 and two guests are $40.

Transfer Students

Fall 2019 new student orientation registration is now available!

Transfer orientations last from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

It is recommended you set up an advising appointment with your academic advisor to discuss course choices and scheduling. You DO NOT have a hold on your account in regards to registration and may register as soon as Open Enrollment begins.

Guests are welcome.
