About the Program
Indiana University Southeast has been providing enrichment learning opportunities through the Project AHEAD® program since 1986, The camp welcomes all students in grades 2-9 who love learning. There are three camps a year, Fall, Winter and Summer. The curriculum is designed to offer classes on two levels – Gifted and Talented and Enrichment Classes. Please enroll your child in Gifted and Talented classes only if you believe that they will enjoy a fast-paced, self-driven learning environment. Enrichment classes are open to all age appropriate students.
Project AHEAD® aims to create an atmosphere that encourages questions, creativity, and continuous engagement. In each session children benefit from attending an exceptional range of courses led by top-notch instructors. The wide range of course topics stimulates minds and encourages advanced learning beyond the classroom. Classroom numbers are kept small - a maximum of 15 students - to enhance advanced learning in a fast-paced environment. Spaces fill quickly.
Tuition for each course is $100 for one class, $180 for two classes. Your child’s instructor may have students bring incidental materials, such as a notebook. Students may take one or two courses per term.
Cancellations and Refunds
Project AHEAD® reserves the right to cancel courses due to low enrollment; we would attempt to reschedule the student into another desired course or make a full refund. If you cancel your child’s registration, we will make a full refund, less a $10 service fee if the cancellation is five (5) or fewer business days before the start of the course. If a student is absent, they may not make up the absence and no refund will be made.
Not very often but occasionally we have to deal with a child who is unruly or disrupts the class. Should the teacher deem it necessary at the first offense the parent will be notified of the behavior problem. At the second offense the child will be dismissed from Project AHEAD for the remainder of the session. No refund will be made for the session.
