Transcript Request Information

Standard Transcript Service

Unless specified as a printed hard-copy request, the IU standard transcript service is a PDF version, delivered securely to recipient’s e-mail address you provide. Learn more about how your PDF transcript is delivered securely.

Online and Mailed Requests

IU uses a consolidated, single portal for processing transcript requests for all IU campuses, Transcripts.IU.Edu. Vist transcripts.iu.edu to go to portal, and explore your delivery, attachment, and request options.

In Person Requests

You can request a transcript be sent to your physical or e-mail address, or held for local pick-up through the portal above. But if you just feel better about taking it in hand yourself, you may make an in-person request by reporting to the Office of the Registrar, University Center South, Room 107 (next to Bursar/Financial Aid.) You must bring a form of picture identification (student ID, driver's license, etc.) and cash, check or money order to obtain your transcript in person. There is not an ATM on campus, but there is one at the service station across Grant Line Road from campus; a Kroger store, and PNC, BBT, and Chase bank branches further south on Grant Line Road.

Office Hours are:

Monday - Thursday

  • 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (when classes are in session)
  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (when classes are not in session)

Friday

  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (always)

Because in-person transcript processing does take a little bit of time, please plan to arrive no later than twenty minutes before closing to make an in-person request.
