Temporary grades and why they matter
If you’re a freshman or a University Division sophomore, or if you’re enrolled in a General Education Common Ground course, you’ll get temporary grades in the sixth week of each term. These early evaluation grades help with advising and allow you to see your academic progress. They won’t be part of your academic record.
Log into One.IU and go to View Grades to see your early evaluation grades. You’ll find them under “Mid-Term Grades.” (Be sure you’re looking at your grades for the current term.) Note that IU as a whole does not give out mid-term grades. You won’t receive these grades unless you fall into one of the categories listed above.
