Biography



Hundley Love Wells Coolman was born in 1890 in New Albany, Indiana, and was a member of the Wonderland Way Art Club. Following James L. Russell's death, Coolman became president of the Art Club until it disbanded. She married attorney William Coolman in 1910 and moved to Kentucky in 1911. She studied with James L. Russell, Paul Plaschke and John Bauscher at the Louisville Art Academy where she became secretary and manager. Hundley entered in many shows from Georgia to Chicago.
