Faculty have the responsibility of evaluating a student's performance and assigning a grade for the course. Grades are selected from the list below and can be given with plus and minus grades. Faculty submit final grades electronically. The Registrar is responsible for running final grade processes that compute both a semester and cumulative grade point average (GPA); and records the information on the student's official transcript.
Standard Letter Grading - used in GPA calculation
|4.0 (highest passing grade)
|.07 (lowest passing grade)
|0.0 (failing grade)
|Given to those students whose lack of attendance is the basis for a failing grade; last date of attendance will be required; will appear on transcript as F.
|Given to those students who never attended the class; will appear on transcript as F.

|Deferred Grade (For courses which may not be completed in one term)
|Course taken on an Audit basis (No Credit)
|Grade not yet submitted by the instructor. After instructor submittal, the true grade will replace the NR.
|Signifies enrollment in a special program for which credit earned will be recorded when completed. Typically used for courses taken under Study Abroad program
Withdrew from Courses - not used in GPA Calculation
|Withdrew after the first week of classes. Grade will appear on transcript
