Welcome to the School of Social Sciences at IU Southeast. Our focus is on fields of study that deal with human interaction, societal institutions, and individuals. We award undergraduate degrees in criminology and criminal justice, history, international studies, journalism, political science, psychology, and sociology. Many of our faculty work closely with the Master of Interdisciplinary Studies degree program, and we also offer certificates and minors, including pre-law for undergraduate students and those looking to continue their education after graduation.

Students in all disciplines enjoy small class sizes taught by highly credentialed faculty, opportunities to participate directly in advanced research projects as undergraduates, and professional networking and/or internships. Our faculty are dedicated to providing the educational tools that will enable students to become the leaders of tomorrow, stressing skills that today’s employers demand. As a result, IU Southeast graduates are employed at all levels of government, at nonprofit agencies and at businesses of all kinds.
