to perform November 17

NEW ALBANY, Nov. 1 — The Music Department at Indiana University Southeast will present the IU SOUTHEAST CONCERT BAND on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Richard K. Stem Concert Hall of the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center on the IU Southeast campus, 4201 Grant Line Road in New Albany. Tickets are $8 for adults, and $5 for students, seniors, IU Southeast faculty & staff, and are available at the Ogle Center ticket office, by calling (812) 941-2526, or online at


Under the direction of Phil Thomas, the choirs will perform THE HOUNDS OF SPRING by Alfred Reed, STARSPLITTER by Philip Rothman, A HYMN FOR THE LOST AND THE LIVING: IN MEMORIAM, SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 by Eric Ewazen, VARIATIONS ON A KOREAN FOLK SONG by John Barnes Chance, NOBLES OF THE MYSTIC SHRINE by John Philip Sousa, and DIVERTIMENTO FOR FOUR SAXES AND BAND by IU Southeast alumnus, Peter Felice.  Featured soloists will be Cory Barnfield, soprano saxophone, Jason Sparks, alto saxophone, Mike Grzelaczyk, tenor saxophone, and Vic Maddox, baritone saxophone.

Free parking is available in the Dogwood lot directly in front of the Ogle Center from one hour prior to the concert until one hour following the end of the concert. Cars parked in other areas will be subject to ticketing.
