This concentration provides a frame of reference to better understand the world in which we live; one's position in the world; and how different cultural, economic, political, and social systems operate and interrelate. The program epuips students with the cultural tools they need to navigate and succeed in the new international environment in which they will increasingly find themselves living. The International Studies track would require students to choose one concentration from the International Studies major (Europe, Latin America, or East Asia). In that concentration students would complete the following requirements for the M.I.S. degree:

The foreign language in which the student is proficient is not required to match his/her major area (Europe, Latin America or East Asia) with the International Studies concentration.
