Find Information

Article & Database Search

To find journal articles, newspapers, primary sources, and other information from our databases, use the Article and Database Search page. From this page, you can search for a specific database, or browse by title, subject, content type, or vendor. You can also use the Databases by Subject page to browse our databases by subject.

You can also browse or search for a specific journal using our Find full-text Journals A-Z List.

IUCAT Library Catalog

To find books and media, use IUCAT, the online catalog of the Indiana University Libraries. IUCAT provides access to print and electronic books and periodicals, recordings, DVDs, U.S. government publications, and other materials available here at IU Southeast as well as at the other libraries in the IU system.

OneSearch

OneSearch provides access to the majority of the IU Southeast Library's resources. Rather than searching in IUCAT for books, Academic Search Premier or JSTOR for peer-reviewed journal articles, and Gale Virtual Reference Library for encyclopedia entries, you can do one search in OneSearch and retrieve results for all types of materials. OneSearch provides access to journal, magazine, and newspaper articles, books and e-books, government documents, DVDs and streaming videos, and more. The default search in OneSearch will return only items that are either available through an IU Southeast subscribed database or are available in the IU Southeast Library; however, you can modify this to include citations and abstracts as well (using the Limiters on the results page). Guest access is available for non-IU Southeast students, faculty, and staff.

Government Publications

The Government Publications page provides access to print and online information published by federal, state, and international governmental organizations. Many of these resources are available through IUCAT as well.

Reference Resources

From dictionaries and encyclopedias to statistical almanacs and style guides, the Reference Resources page provides sources for finding quick facts, statistics, dates, biographical information, broad subject overviews, and other useful information.

At any time during library hours, consult with a Reference Librarian at the Reference Desk or by phone at (812) 941-2489. To renew your books or for any questions related to Circulation, please call (812) 941-2485.

Library Instruction

The Library Instruction Program at Indiana University Southeast seeks to support the educational programs of the University by providing effective, relevant, student-centered instructional services. To make arrangements for your class, please contact Maria Accardi, Coordinator of Instruction, maccardi@ius.edu, (812) 941-2551.
