The IU Southeast Library Collection is largely formed by the Purchase Requests of faculty members for the instructional and general education needs of the students of our university. Additionally, faculty make Purchase Requests to have materials available for their major areas of research and scholarship.

Non-Faculty

Recommendations for the collection are also welcomed by staff, students, and members of the community. These recommendations will be reviewed by our librarians and selected to add to our collection based on the needs of our students and our library.

If you have any questions regarding the Faculty Purchase Reqest Form or Recommendations Form, please feel free to contact Melanie E. Hughes, Coordinator of Automation and Technical Services, (812) 941-2145.

If you are a student, staff member, or community member, or you could not be authenticated into the Library Purchase Request form, please use the link below to submit your recommendation via email to the library.

In your email message, please try to include as much bibliographic information as possible to help us order your book quickly and accurately:

  1. Author: First and Last Names
  2. Title
  3. ISBN: 10 or 13-digit International Standard Book Number
  4. Preferred Format (e.g e-book or physical copy)
  5. Volume Number: Or number of volumes, if set
  6. Place Published
  7. Publisher
  8. Year Published
  9. Edition
  10. Price
  11. Source: Where you found the information about the book (exa. Amazon, IUCAT, etc.)

Please include your contact information (name and email address) in the email as well. This is so we can follow up if we have any questions about the title.
